Business Networking – How Much Do You Hate It?

Networking is a very positive activity, but most people hate to do it. In fact, most people will go almost all out to do a networking event.

Often works as follows. For one reason or another, you will find going to a networking event. When you walk in the door, you scan the room and realize you do not know a soul in the room. Are you looking for the bar, might think a drink is the best. Seesomething to drink and a place to stand. Finally, someone passing by and you come into the conversation. Trade business cards and they drift apart. This may not be repeated. At the end of the evening you can have a small stack of business cards that throw you on the corner of your desk. They wonder whether anything will come of the event, and soon it fades from your memory.

They quickly learn that the cross-linking a non-productive way to spend to time, and fightvigor of themselves to another. And you are correct. Network in this way is certainly a waste of time.

I know that's how it works, because that's exactly the way I started networking.

Why is networking so important?

No one individual can know all the answers, or good at solving any problem, but a carefully constructed network of friends and colleagues can. It is only your network of contacts that you draw from the difficultiesIf it gets serious.

Your ability to succeed depends to a large extent on the rapport you with the most important people in your life to create. Think about that a bit.

In the business-networking, we consciously seek to a network of people who gather to support us in the following in the economy. In real estate, for example, an agent with another agent band, to help each other with the open door to find offers on sale or closure. Theycan also band together with tangentially companies as credit institutions, title companies, Home Inspection Services and many others who are involved in the sale of real estate. Together, this group is much stronger than a single agent.

Types of networks:

We are surrounded by a network of networks in our lives. Many of these overlap and some are included in others. Here are some examples:

The Family Network – our immediate and extended familyand perhaps even people who are not related to us, but they are still treated like a family.
Some of these people may also in our social network as well.
The health network, we would be our doctors, dentists, chiropractors, nutritionists and others who may contribute to our overall well being.
In our business network, which we have with our financial network overlaps bankers, insurance agents and financial advisors.

For most of us grow these networksspontaneously. The purpose of this article is that if we consciously design and build these networks for a particular purpose, they will perform better for us.

Here are some examples of the benefits are that you get from networking.

True friendship – friendship While often results from social networks (happy hour) could be a great model, the people you meet at business networking events can alsobecame close friends over time.
Gathering new ideas and new perspectives – Whenever you can too many people can not help their new ideas and insights for the business problems exposed. If you keep an open mind and not dismiss a new idea, it can learn a great spirit of expansion.
New employment opportunities – Many people see only in the network, creating new jobs. Finally, the best way to find new jobs, to make it to the company you are interested, but know how theTitle of the book by Harvey McKay's states, you should "Dig Your well before you are thirsty." Do not wait until you're on the road to start networking. Networking is not an overnight thing.
Business Intelligence – A good way to find out what's happening in your industry is in the industrial networking capabilities.
Sales Leads – One of the basic functions of the network is to generate sales leads. This was first done slowly because the trust was notfounded. But before long, you can take your leads.
Barter – For experienced networkers is barter (direct exchange of goods or services), a clever way of unused inventory or services to liberate. You can go through a formal exchange service, acting for third parties, or just deal directly with trade partners.

The benefits of networking is by far the negatives. It only takes a little skill and understanding.
